A Saint International model struts her stuff at the official launch of StyleWeek 2012.

The Gleaner-sponsored StyleWeek Jamaica, which unfolds between May 24 and 27 is set to roll out the red carpet for a slew of international celebrities, journalists and our favourite fashionistas and socialites alike.

Saint International has announced that the 2012 staging of StyleWeek Jamaica, (which is the only Jamaica 50-endorsed fashion event of the season) will be a spectacular international fashion feast like no other.

Saint has gone to the home of fashion (Paris) where French Designer K.O.B (Kevin O' Brien) has been given the task to throw his couture spin on the Jamaican fashion expression, as we celebrate our 50 years of Independence.

This is the first time that a French designer based on direct inspiration from Jamaica will be creating and showcasing, a Jamaican-based collection in Jamaica.

"As known trendsetters, Saint International will once again demonstrate why we are considered leaders in the business," said Saint CEO Deiwght Peters, whose brainchild it was.

Five-year relationship

O'Brien is no strangerto the runways of Jamaica, having shown here for the last five years at StyleWeek Jamaica. This relationship was sparked by the long-standing association of Saint International and the Alliance Francais in Jamaica, once led by Pierre Lemaire.
