'Rated' puts women first

Many parties use already familiar concepts, but young promoter DJ Boyzie Williams promises that his event, Rated, will be different. The party will be held at Northside Plaza in Liguanea, St Andrew, and Williams said the sexiness will be in overdrive.
He said on December 17 it will be all about the ladies.
"This party is targeting the women who are confident in themselves and their beauty. When you hear about Rated, we don't mean nudity; we just mean elegantly sexy and teasing for the eyes."
Williams said the party is expected to have a huge female following because of the theme.
"Rated is a nuff-woman party and by nuff woman, I mean plenty. The price is good and woman friendly, so there is no stopping the success," he said.
Williams said unlike some parties which are centred on masculine themes, he opted to go for a feminine one because men will follow the women. "Everybody a use a hit song title to sell dem party, so I decided to use the opposite. I am going to target the ladies and, once you have women, you are guaranteed that the male audience will also follow," he said.
"The event is all about lingerie and cocktails and, tied in with that concept, we have a lot of prizes and surprises," he said.
Women adhering to the lingerie dress code will pay $200 and it is $300 for all other patrons.
Williams said there will be a paparazzi setting at the entrance to the venue, to capture the women as they walk into the party. "Ladies, just come out looking as beautiful as you know to be - and be expecting that beauty to be captured in the photo shoot, if you so desire," he said.
Security will be provided by the police.
The DJs slated to provide the musical experience are DJ Smurf, Rhyme Up, Platinum from veteran sound Metromedia, and Price International.
