United States Ambassador Pamela Bridgewater got a special Valentine's Day surprise from her husband, the Reverend Russell Awkard, at Café Da Vinci, Market Place, along Constant Spring Road, yesterday.

Tuesday talk

Landlord and tenant bangarang

1. The long-suffering landlord got more than she bargained for when she went to collect long overdue rent. She was doused full force with what appeared to be water by another tenant who did not like the fact that the noise nuisance was taking place in front of her establishment. Another case of "hot head" it seems.

Taste of the sweet life

2. The story is being told of yet another husband who lost his head in Jamaica. According to the rumour mill, the numbers man from down under could not resist the indigenous assets. To the chagrin of colleagues he sent the wife and kids packing. He is now enjoying the sweet life under the tropical sun.

Patriotism vs treason

3. Someone once said: "one man's patriotism is another man's treason." If we listen keenly over the next few days we may be able to decide who is who and what is what.

Bombshell!

4. A shock resignation is in the offing! But on close examination it may turn out to be a clever power play. There are some people who like to be embroiled in controversy they can't help themselves.
