Toasting a true Jamaican woman
THE EDITOR, Sir:
As the executive director of the Private Security Regulation Authority, Rosalyn Monteith Campbell took the bull by the horns. She spearheaded many movements, such as pushing the mandatory position that all security guards must be trained and certified by recognised or licensed organisations/trainers with at least 80 hours of basic security training.
This has opened the world to our security guards, as some certificates have allowed them to deploy their services overseas.
Mrs Monteith Campbell also advocated for security guards to have personal and family health insurance coverage. She has the spirit of a warrior and fought to ensure that security guards are granted the respect they deserve.
She ensures that staff members are awarded annually for exemplary and dedicated service, as well as their years of contribution to the organisation. She often motivates her staff, especially the younger employees.
Mrs Monteith Campbell is a stalwart. Therefore, I tip my hat and toast a true Jamaican woman who has impacted lives, the Ministry of National Security, Jamaica and the wider Caribbean.
