Harbour View maintain lead
End of first round champions Harbour View maintain their two-point lead in the Digicel Premier League standings following a 2-1 victory over Village United at the Elliston Wakeland Centre in Falmouth yesterday.
The ‘Stars of the East’, which leads the competition with 26 goals, got their goals through Lovel Palmer in the 49th and 51st minute.
Omar Allen got Village United’s lone goal in the 77th minute.
Meanwhile, Tivoli Gardens remain in second place after a 2-0 victory over third-from-the-bottom Meadhaven United at Constant Spring Complex.
They are now on 24 points, two points ahead of St Georges, which defeated Waterhouse 1-0 at Lynch Park in Portland.
In other games, Boys Town clipped Arnett Gardens 1-0 courtesy of a controversial goal at Tony Spaulding Sports complex and Reno and Sporting Central Academy battled to a 1-1 draw at Frome Sports Complex in Westmoreland.
