The US White House has given the go ahead for the resumption of medical evacuation flights from Haiti to the US.
There were fears that critically ill victims of Haiti\'s earthquake would die after the US military suspended evacuation flights.
Hundreds of people have been flown to the United States for treatment, most of them to Florida based hospitals, but military officials say they had cancelled the flights because they no longer knew where to take the patients.
Florida\'s Governor Charlie Crist has asked the federal government to share the cost of treating the victims.
