The World Cup\'s organising committee has distributed the 14 matches originally allocated to Pakistan to the other three co-hosts today.

Eight matches were shifted to India, four to Sri Lanka and two to Bangladesh after the committee met today.

Of the event\'s 49 matches, 29 will be played in India, 12 in Sri Lanka and eight in Bangladesh.

Bangladesh will now stage two quarterfinals, with India and Sri Lanka hosting one each.

Under the previous arrangement, all four co-hosts were to stage a quarterfinal. The semifinals will now be staged in India and Sri Lanka, with India hosting the final.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) ruled in April that the matches couldn\'t be staged in Pakistan following an attack by gunmen on the Sri Lankan team bus in March that killed six policemen and a driver.
