Forever Young serves up a Christmas feast

Ena Thompson's Forever Young Restaurant is set to take the festive season up several notches during the holidays for the hard-working merchants and workers in downtown's commercial district.
Thompson is quick to boast that the big exception with Forever Young is that she will be going non-stop with her special culinary Christmas lunches and tasty delights until New Year's Eve.
"We will be catering to the downtown business community and its environs," Thompson explains to Food. "It will be a busy period for many of the workers in the area who will not have much time to enjoy the busy season, so it's the least that we can do. We have worked and served then during the course of the year and so we plan to make it a Christmas fare at a special price."
The inevitable baked ham and roasted pork will be a major part of the menu. But for those who avoid pork dishes, Thompson says there will also be jerked and fried chicken as well as a range of fish dishes.
Each lunch packet will comprise two meats from the menu with a range of salads and the customary sorrel drink. A range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and drinks will also be available during the event, which is in its fourth year.
"It has been great, as many people look forward to it, but we plan to make it special as downtown is for us," she asserts.
Forever Young Restaurant is located in the very heart of the pulsating city that showcases the activities that make the historic commercial centre distinctly unique.
Surrounded by delightfully coloured clothing and other Christmas paraphernalia, the Forever Young Restaurant is promising delightful cuisine for those who participate in the shopping delights as the busy commercial district enters the final stretch.
"Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. to facilitate the rush," she shares.
Thompson adds that she is well prepared to serve 50 lunches at any given time. "Persons who are interested are invited to contact the Forever Young Restaurant 24 hours in advance," she says.
She, however, emphasised that this will not deprive persons who drop in of her delicious servings. "We have the personnel and expertise to do the job, but we are determined to make this Christmas a special occasion," she says.
