First Global parties in Mobay

WESTERN BUREAU:
First Global Bank hosted its board of directors meeting for the first time in Montego Bay last week and the business community came out to welcome them in true Montego Bay style at the exquisite Seawind Beach Club.
Obviously in tune with the tourism capital's potential, GraceKennedy's outgoing chairman Douglas Orane admitted, "You have said come to MoBay more often, and we are here to satisfy your unmet needs".
Asking and answering his own questions, the veteran who heads First Global Financial Services, First Global Bank, Jamaica International Insurance Company, and Allied Insurance Brokers asked what he felt was on the lips of the large business community in attendance - "What is next year going to be like?"
In response he said, "Next year will be good, we are prepared for when the market turns and we want to serve you when there is an upturn."
Orane had with him chairman-designate Don Webhy, president of the bank, Maureen Hayden-Cater and CEO of GraceKennedy Financial Services, Courtney Campbell.
The board directors present included Beverly Lopez, Tony Lindo and Everton McDonald.
Organised by assistant vice-president, western region, Courtney Wilson, the evening was well spent getting to know the people bent on changing the financial landscape in the Second City.
