Forever friends

Jermaine Barrett and Trevor Hyman are close friends and share with the public how they have stuck it out through thick and thin.

How did the friendship start and how long have you been friends?

Jermaine: We were on the same basketball team and, after going to practice daily, we have been friends since.

Trevor: We met in high school at basketball training about eight years ago.

When you are upset with each other, which of you is more likely to patch things up?

Jermaine: If we have a misunderstanding, I would be the first one to make it up because I cherish friendship.

Trevor: Jermaine would definitely be the first to try and clarify what the problem was. Being the considerate one, I would accept his apologies.

Which colour would best fit each other's personality?

Jermaine: The colour orange can be used to represent Trevor's personality because he is outspoken, jovial and friendly.

Trevor: I would use blue to describe Jermaine's personality, since he is a humble and reserved, and blue is often used to represent peace.

If you were both asked by an angel to make three wishes for each other, what would it be?

Jermaine: I would wish that Trevor has a place in heaven, be successful in all his endeavours and live a comfortable life.

Trevor: I would wish that he achieve success, be comfortable in relationship and live in unity with others.

Where do you both think each would take a girl on a first date?

Jermaine: Trevor would take a girl to the club where he can party and get to know her a little more intimately.

Trevor: Jermaine would take the girl to the movies because he is shy (laughing), so they can just watch the movie and exchange a few words.

If you both could have personally witnessed one event in history, what would it be?

Jermaine: I would want to see Marcus Garvey's journey in becoming the great leader he is. He did not have much support but he tried to stand up for what he believed in and, of course, he made some significant changes.

Trevor: The Maradona goal that took place in 1986 in the FIFA World Cup quarter-final, because Maradona used his hand to score a goal and it was accepted, even though the referee was right beside him.
