JAMESTOWN, ND (AP):
A dealership is selling a car once owned by an infamous North Dakota tax protester gunned down during a shootout with lawmen.
Gordon Kahl owned the 1951 Chevrolet two-door sedan from 1957 to 1983, the year he was involved in a February shootout near Medina that left a United States marshal and deputy marshal dead.
Kahl stole a police car and fled the scene, eluding capture for four months before being killed in a shootout at an Arkansas farmhouse where he was hiding. A county sheriff also died in that shootout.

A funeral service is scheduled for this week for Tom Auger Sr of Lewiston, founder of the VIP Discount Auto Center chain, who died Wednesday. Auger, who had diabetes and had recently suffered a heart attack, was 82.
Starting out with a used tyre-changing machine in an old barn, Auger built his small business into a New England-wide chain of 46 auto parts and service stores.
