Shandel and Lisa love the movies

Young, hard-working with bright personalities, Lisa Jones and Shandel McLaughin took some time out from their professional responsibilities to have a chat with Saturday Life.

What is your favourite social event and why?

Lisa: The movies. When entering a theatre, it gives a sense of relaxation and it's like you put your troubles behind you.

Shandel: Going to the movies with friends, because it's fun.

If you had the opportunity to change one thing about your self, what would it be and why?

Lisa: My body size. It's difficult to go shopping and see all the pretty clothes and they can't fit.

Shandel: My way of life. I need to be in a better financial position.

If you had to choose between being a multimillionaire or the smartest person on Earth, which would you choose and why?

Lisa: A multimillionaire. Being smart is a wonderful thing but it's hard work making it to be a multimillionaire; it seems impossible. Being a millionaire, you already have the money, you don't need to work hard.

Shandel: The smartest person on the Earth. Being smart, no one can fool you.

If more interest was placed on promoting the nuclear family structure within our society, do you think that Jamaica would benefit greatly 10 years from now?

Lisa: Yes, it would, because we will think about each other and the nation's interest before making important decisions that will affect everyone.

Shandel: Yes!

What is your opinion of our present Jamaican family structure?

Lisa: Dog-eat-dog! Every man for themselves, which is bad. There is no showing of love or care that each individual deserves.

Shandel: Poor!
