PORT TOUR: The Shipping Association of Jamaica (SAJ), led by President Corah Ann Robertson-Sylvester, hosted a strategic tour of the Newport West shipping community last Wednesday, engaging key representatives from the Port Authority of Jamaica (PAJ), National Works Agency (NWA), and National Water Commission. The visit highlighted the urgent need for repairs to critical road infrastructure in Newport West. Following lobbying by the SAJ for the necessary repairs to be done to facilitate business in and though the community, an agreement has been reached for several agencies of the State to partner with SAJ and Kingston Wharves Limited (KWL) to fund the improvements. The state partners are PAJ, Jamaica Customs Agency and the NWA.
