Upset residents of Rose Heights, St James mount roadblocks over lack of water
Upset residents of 41 Boulevard in the community of Rose Heights, St James, blocked the main road leading into their community this morning to protest a lack of water in the area.
They used trash, tree branches, garbage, and other debris to block the road, forcing motorists to turn back. Some of the blockages were set on fire.
Residents complained that the absence of water has been a prolonged issue, despite repeated promises that it would be addressed.
They say those promises have gone unfulfilled.
According to the residents, they have been paying their bills despite not receiving the commodity.
The residents are calling on the authorities to address the issue once and for all.
