An investigation by detectives from the Linstead Criminal Investigation Branch has led to the arrest of third suspect in the murder of St Catherine contractor Humphrey Brown.

The arrest was made two weeks ago following sustained police investigations in the parish.

The suspect was subsequently placed on an identification parade, where he was positively pointed out as one of the individuals involved in Brown’s death.

On July 24, 2025, Brown’s body was exhumed from a makeshift grave at Thetford Farm in Old Harbour, St Catherine. He had been reported missing on July 11, 2025, after driving away in his Mercedes-Benz motor car.

Brown, a 43-year-old of Piccadilly Drive, Willowdene, Spanish Town, was not seen alive again. Police investigations later led to the recovery of his motor vehicle in Alexandria, St Ann.

Two men - Leonardo Swaby and Nathan Williams — were previously arrested and charged in connection with Brown’s murder. They have since made several court appearances.
