Waltham Park hung out to dry

Published:Friday | April 6, 2018 | 12:00 AM

THE EDITOR, Sir:

Residents and business operators on Content Avenue, off Upper Waltham Park Road, St Andrew, have been suffering from little or no water supply for more than a month.

Despite repeated complaints to the National Water Commission (NWC), we have been hung out to dry by the authorities.

It is unacceptable and injurious to health and well-being for the State to so abandon paying customers, both residential and commercial, and force them to source water at high prices.

For businesses having to secure trucked water privately, these rates are uneconomic and make operations anti-competitive. This is the middle, of the city, for Christ's sake!

It is high time that the NWC stop fiddling about and serve its customers.
