The official reopening of the Acropolis Gaming Lounge was not complete without a menu and full-service bar being added to the gaming experience for customers.

Over the years, Acropolis, which is owned and operated by Supreme Ventures Limited, would only serve complimentary food to gamers, but when executives reviewed the experience, it was highly noted that a grand food experience for gamers needed to be added to the bar service.

Christel DeRizzio, assistant vice president of the Supreme Ventures Group, said when a team from the Supreme Ventures Group travelled to the United States, they observed gaming experiences and meals sold at locations in addition to a full bar service.

“We recently went through a renovation and expansion of the gaming lounge; this includes an upgrade to our machines from corner to corner, ceiling to floor. We did a full renovation, and the service has also improved. We’ve added a bar. Generally, when persons come into the Acropolis, they get complimentary food and beverages once you’re gaming. The [upgraded] bar is a paid bar. You can go there and get anything you want to drink. You name it; we have it. And, we also launched a menu with bite-sized items,” DeRizzio told Food while sipping on Moët & Chandon champagne at the location’s relaunch event.

Guests at the relaunch were treated to a variety of food options, including copious charcuterie boards, deep-fried shrimp, seasoned baked chicken bites, crushed plantains, spring rolls and fried mashed potato balls. It gave guests a taste of the bite-sized food experience they can come to expect from the location.

“You can [now] get from burgers to wings, flatbreads, salt fish fritters, pastas, and so much more,” she said, adding that this now opens the location up to more than gaming.

“So, if it is you stop gaming, and you want to hang out and not game any more, you go to the bar. So, it’s like an addition to the experience at the Acropolis. If you’re not a gamer and you just want to pass through, it’s also open to you, so it’s not for gamers only,” she explained to Food.

There has also been a smoke lounge added at the entry of the gaming lounge.

Food now being sold at Acropolis is categorised into three sections: Small Bites, Filler Bites and Sides.

Small Bites include: double salt fish fritters, chicken poppers (nuggets), meat lovers flatbread and Acropolis signature wings.

Filler Uppers include: Acropolis signature burger, bolognese pasta, alfredo pasta, jerk BBQ chicken sandwiches, beer battered fish and loaded fries.

Sides include: fries, wedges and garlic bread.
