Bunny Wailer is on the brink of redemption after earning a Grammy nomination for his album Time Will Tell, just months after enduring a hostile reception at 'Sting ’90'. The nomination places the reggae icon among five contenders in the 1990 Grammy reggae category, offering the only surviving member of the original Bob Marley and the Wailers a chance to replace a bitter moment with international recognition from the music industry’s highest honours.

BUNNY WAILER may yet have sweet revenge for the stoning he took at 'Sting ’90' as the Wailers head the field of five in the reggae section of the 1990 Grammy nominees, which were announced in New York on Thursday, January 10, 1991.
With an album titled Time Will Tell, which could prove prophetic, the only surviving member of the original Bob Marley and the Wailers could erase the bitter memory of 'Sting' with an award from the music industry’s premier adjudicators.
The other four nominees are Burning Spear for his album Mek We Dweet; Andrew Tosh, son of the late Peter Tosh (himself a Grammy winner), for Make Place For It; Toots for his One Hour Live LP; and Black Uhuru for their album Now.
Black Uhuru, the trio which had undergone several personnel changes since copping their first Grammy a few years ago, are the only former winners in the line-up.
Missing from this year’s list are back-to-back winners Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers.
